The Blueprint

To design better systems.

I partner with organisations in times of transformation or transition. When you lack the capacity on your team or want to design systems that bring change forward, pulling me in can be the short-term impulse that turns things around.

Together, we engage in sourcing the challenge and framing a path forward, which may include systems mapping or product/service resetting to align purpose, culture, and business with ecological and social vitality, while enabling scalable impact.

Ideal for:
Leadership teams, design studios, foundations, and startups

Formats:
6–12 month collaboration, strategic partnership fees, or retainer

Possible outcomes:
A reimagined business model, a regenerative design playbook, a new internal culture framework, fractional creative leadership, or a board/advisory role

LET’S TALK

Before working with Kara, we were facing the challenging task of fundamentally rethinking our customer experience. This meant bringing together many different perspectives, requirements, and stakeholder interests across a broad range of functions.

What stood out most was Kara’s empathetic yet decisive leadership style. As Studio Lead, she created an environment in which people felt heard and included, while also providing the clarity, direction, and momentum needed to move the work forward. She was particularly effective at navigating different stakeholder interests and helping the broader team stay focused on the customer.”

CLIENT STORY

Strategic Stewardship in Practice

VP of Regenerative Design, frog

I worked at frog much like a fractional leader would: embedded enough to understand the business and work with a client team, yet independent enough to introduce new ways of thinking. I helped clarify the company's narrative, built internal capability around regenerative design, and supported teams as they experimented with new approaches. I was there to coach senior leaders to steward a shift in how the organisation made decisions and understood its role in a changing world.

That experience shaped how I work today: stepping in at the right altitude, bringing clarity where things feel complex, and helping leaders and teams align around a more regenerative path that is flexible, strategic, and focused on building long-term capacity inside the organisation rather than creating dependence on me.
